Job Description:
We are seeking an experienced and detail-minded Quantity Surveyor, with strong competencies in BIM Estimation Expert, to join our team. The ideal candidate will apply Building Information Modeling (BIM) technology to provide accurate cost estimates, material quantity estimates and project budget. This position calls for abilities to combine traditional quantity surveying with advanced BIM methods for the execution of project planning, cost management and decision-making practices.
Key Responsibilities:
Extract proper amount of material and quantity of components from BIM models Ensure that all estimates are as per the project requirement and industry norms Co-ordinate with other design and engineering teams to get their approval on the accuracy of data modelled
To prepare detailed project cost estimations that utilize data from BIM. Analyzing the impact of design changes, material selections, and construction techniques upon costs. Optimizing the costs of projects without compromising quality and design intent.
Preparation and review of tender documents, bill of quantities and cost schedules. Sorting tenders made by contractors and provides recommendations based on price and compliance of contractor.
Maintain close cooperation with architects, engineers and project managers so the deliverables serve their purpose. Cost prediction for design development in order that savings may be tapped Potential cost savings Work with BIM managers in assuring the integrity and usability of BIM data for estimation purposes
Prepare detailed cost reports and presentations for stakeholders. Accurately record estimations, cost analyses, and project budgets.
Keep up with the latest advancements in BIM software and quantity surveying techniques. Find areas where automation could be implemented and efficiency enhanced in the cost estimation workflow.
Qualifications:
Quantity Surveying bachelor’s degree in civil engineering, Construction management or any relative field Proficiency in BIM tools like AutoCAD Revit, Navis works and CostX Extensive knowledge and experience of Takeoff methods. Analytical mind and problem- solving skills are required. Interpersonal and collaborative skills are great assets.
Preferred Experience:
3+ years of experience as a Quantity Surveyor, specializing in BIM-based estimations. Advanced understanding of cost management software and tools. Experience with construction procedures, materials, and standards. Direct experience working on large or complex projects in the AEC industry. International quantity surveying standards (e.g., RICS and NRM).
